A Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) member identified has died following an attack by a group of suspected ZANU PF activists in Harare, NewsDay has learned. Byo journalist assaulted by Zanu PF members

A Bulawayo journalist, Annahstacia Ndlovu, was assaulted by Zanu PF members while covering skirmishes at the Fifth Avenue market on Monday where the ruling party was chasing away vendors who are not card-carrying members from their vending bays. Ndlovu, who writes for Voice of America (VOA), has since reported the matter to the police.   The journalist said she and other freelance journalists were at the Bulawayo Media Centre when they received an alert from informal traders from the market that they were being beaten and wares confiscated by Zanu PF members. Chiredzi Police closed Tshovani Stadium made for CCC rally

On Wednesday 5th of July 2023, Chiredzi police have banned the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) rally at Tshovani Stadium. Mr Nelson Chamisa was expected to address this rally in Chiredzi Town at Tshovani Stadium. However, the members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police locked the Stadium where CCC Chamisa was expected to address his supporters. The reason for banning this rally is that Zanu PF Residents Minister Ezra Chadzamira is officially opening a clinic in Chiredzi town. Police said they do not have the manpower to control the crowd at both the Zanu PF and CCC gatherings.
